Ghanaians advised not to sell birthright

Bediako (B/A), May 27, GNA – The Reverend Matthew Tetteh Wayoe, Goaso Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, has warned Ghanaians against selling their leadership qualities and ingenuity to partisan politics. He explained that the time had come for Ghanaians to draw a distinction between partisan politics and the demands of the nation. Rev. Wayoe was preaching the sermon at a sod-cutting ceremony for work to begin on a 46 million-cedi Chapel for the Bediako District branch of the Church at Bediako in the Asunafo District of Brong Ahafo Region.

He welcomed the constitutional provision barring chiefs from active partisan politics.

Rev. Evans Tetteh, Head of the Bediako District branch of the Church, announced that the District, created four years ago, had 15 assemblies.

The Assembly Member for Bediako, Mr Benjamin Owusu, called on the leaders of the Church to continue to educate their members on important national issues including the Health Insurance Scheme and the HIV/AIDS.
