Ghanaian urged to concentrate on nation’s development

Placard bearing members of the Home Makers Organization on Wednesday demonstrated peacefully at the Jubilee Grounds in Takoradi to press home the need for the country to concentrate on development issues instead of politics.

Some of the placards read “No politics, no corruption”, No politics, no divisions” and “We need local investors and not political investors”.

Speaking after the “Sankofa demonstration”, Mr. Daniel Arthur, founder and leader of the organization, said people must not focus on politics at the expense of development.

He said the country would be a better place if people bury their political differences and share ideas to solve problems confronting it.

Mr. Arthur said the organization has prepared a document which it would send to the Supreme Court.
