Ghanaian Times

The Times in a front page story, says in their bid to win the forthcoming district assembly elections, some aspiring assembly members have resorted to giving all sorts of interesting promises.

A sample is that on a platform at Duayaw-Nkwanta in the Brong Ahafo Region, one such aspirant, Mr Emmanuel Boateng, told the electorate that when elected, he will ensure that Duayaw-Nkwanta is carved out of the Tano District without delay.

Asked how he would do this, he replied that he would go to the Castle and personally discuss the urgency of his proposal with President Rawlings.
