The Military High Command will recall Captain Imoru Sanda from peacekeeping mission in the Ivory Coast to assist in investigations.
Captain Imoru Sanda has been accused of leading a group of Ivorian rebels into Ghana, last month to attack and abduct the chief of Saru, a village in the Bole area together with some of his subjects.
The rebels were said to be in search of arms and weapons.
The group kidnapped the chief of Saru, locked him up in a rebel held cell in Cote d? Ivoire, shot one person and looted their belongings.
The order for Captain Imoru Sanda?s recall follows a tour of the Northern Region by the Defense Minister, Dr. Kwame Addo-Kufuor on Wednesday.
A statement from the ministry says the military detachment at Chache near Bole will be re-organized to ensure better control of the security situation around the border area.
It also calls for reinforced border patrols.
The statement further noted that the Armed Forces Council will soon meet to discuss other issues arising from the incident at Bole.
