Ghanaian Professor Donates Books To Valley View University

A Ghanaian professor living in Long Island, Nassau County, New York has donated 11 boxes of assorted academic books to Valley View Universitry, a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher learning at Oyibi, Accra, Ghana. The donor, Dr. Samuel Browne gave good books on education, maths, chemistry, physics, and nursing. This is to help build Valley View University as a center for research and learning.

Presenting the items to S.K. Twumasi, the Executive Secretay of North America Ghanaian Adventist Organization and Elder Kwasi Boamah, Head Elder of Queens Ghana Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ozone Park, New York at his Long Island home in Westburry, New York, Dr. Browne reiterated his commitment to give back to Ghana as a results of God’s blessings He has bestowed on his people in the diasporah. Dr Browne, a Fulbright scholar also promised to teach summer classes at Valley View University next year summer as part of the “Operation Reach Back” initiative of North American Ghanaian Adventist Organization.

Receiving the items on behalf of Valley View University, Pastor Twumasi and Elder Boamah thanked Dr and Mrs Browne for their kind gesture. They appealed to other Ghanaian professionals in United States and other parts of the world to emulate the example of the Brownes by coming to the aid of our other struggling Ghanaian institutions in our efforts to ensure that they stay competitive.
