“Ghanaian News Canada” Wins National Award

The Ghanaian News was honored by the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada at its 26th Anniversary of Ethno Media Week during the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) in Toronto on August 31, 2003. The versatile Ghanaian community newspaper was recognized for Best Editorial and Design. In a citation accompanying the award given to Emmanuel Ayiku, Publisher of the Ghanaian News was praised for its outstanding contributions and dedication in the promotion of the interests of the multicultural communities. It reads further, “presented in appreciation for the editorials and the expression of the will of the Ghanaian Canadian communities, and for the acceptance and implementation of the principles of equality, respect of the human values and rights, the implementation of the objectives of multiculturalism.”
