GABORONE A case in which Theodora Oddoye (27), a Ghanaian citizen, faces two counts of forgery and uttering a false document resumes on December 14, 2005 at Village Magistrates Court.
Oddoye, a hairdresser, is alleged to have forged a Botswana passport on April 25, 2004 in Gaborone. On the second count, she is accused of uttering a false document in the form of a Botswana passport to officials of the German Embassy.
Oddoye was found in possession of two passports, a Botswana one and a Ghanaian passport and was arrested while in the process of applying for a travelling visa to Germany using a Botswana passport.
Evidence laid before court by the prosecution in previous court appearances was that the accused is not even a naturalised citizen of Botswana.
The two passports seized from her show that she has at least two different names being Theodora Molefhe as per Botswana passport and Theodora Ayoko Addoyi, as reflected in the Ghanaian passport.
The case is before Chief Magistrate Takura Charumbira and is prosecuted by Principal State Counsel Matlhogonolo Phuthego. The accused person is out on bail.
