Ghanaian Environmental Journalist Honoured In U.S

Joachim Ayitey of the League of Environmental Journalist had been honoured at the annual meeting of the society of environmental (SEJ) in Baltimore, USA.

Joachim was the Winner of the 2002 Biodiversity reporting Award in Ghana with his article “Why Dolphins” published in the 24th, edition of theDaily Guide and for his prize, he travelled to the US The article exposes the threat to dolphins in Ghana. The contest was organised by conversation International (CI) in partnership with the International Federation of Environmental Journalists (IFEJ) and the International centre for Journalists (ICFJ).

The award is designed to recognise, and reward Journalists in International biodiversity coverage.

The other award winners honoured were from Bolivia, Peru, Columbia, and Brazil.

All the award winners were sponsored by Conservational International and the International Centre for Journalists. Posted
