Ghana@60: Akufo-Addo’s speech ‘deep’ – Mugabe

Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe has congratulated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for what he has termed a highly impressive speech on Monday 6 March during Ghana’s 60th Independence Day parade.

Mr Akufo-Addo, addressing Ghanaians during the parade at the Black Star Square, called on all citizens to protect their environment from degradation in order for future generations to also benefit from the country’s rich natural resources.

Mr Akufo-Addo added that even though Ghana had bright future prospects, there was the need to mobilise all resources and energies within and outside the country to achieve it. These, among others, have been described by the Zimbabwean leader as “deep” during a press conference in Accra on Tuesday 7 March.

Mr Mugabe further called for stronger ties between Ghana and Zimbabwe.
