Ghana Won’t Get Anywhere With IMF And World Bank – Wayo

A leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Charles Kofi Wayo has warned that the nation’s economic resuscitation crusade by the government would forever remain an elusive dream should the government continue to rely on the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to move this nation from the economic mess that it has found itself.

“If this is what the government will continue to do by depending on these international bodies for the solutions of the economic mess that this nation has been plunged into by the past government, then we voted for nothing.”

Wayo who prefers to be called ‘Nima Boy’ explained that the World Bank and IMF have no solutions to this nation’s economic predicament. “If we think that the World Bank or IMF and other donor agents are going to change the destiny of Ghana, then we are joking” adding that so far one year has come and gone and there is nothing to show about improvement in the lives of people.

“We cannot pretend all is now well with our people and go to sleep.” He advised people in authority to note that Ghanaians are no longer going to entertain any unnecessary excuses.
