Ghana will redefine democracy – GCPP Leader

Dr. Henry Herbert Lartey the Flagbearer of the Great Consolidated Popular Party has defused tensions in the public domain resulting from the election dispute between leaders of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Electoral Commission.

The GCPP 2012 presidential candidate expressed a strong belief in Ghanaians, stating that Ghanaians are God-fearing citizens and would not allow the democracy in the nation to be torn into pieces.

Defending the integrity of the citizenry, Dr. Henry Lartey in an interview with Radio Gold, urged the nation to “let peace reign…Let peace and law and order reign.”

He was optimistic about the conduct of Ghanaians, saying “we are God-loving people. If you realize that we are on the equator, there’s a reason why we are there. On the meridian, we’re there because God put us here. We’re here to teach the whole world about democracy…We’re going to redefine it. After the court judgement, they will realize that we got the best democracy in the world.”
