Ghana Tops Once Again

Once again, Ghana Queens is the Top Fundraiser in the International/Embassy category and the fourth overall highest fundraiser in the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure. This shows what commitment and sheer determination can achieve in spite of all odds.

On Saturday, June 5th, the Team will join thousands on the National Mall to make Ghana and Africa proud. The Team will walk and run in solidarity with those who have lost dear ones and those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. While we laud the achievement of the Ghana Queens, we urge all Ghanaians and Africans in the diaspora to take an active interest in this annual effort and to support future fundraising. In 2008, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® expanded its mission to Africa and announced its largest international grant of $250,000 to help launch the Ghana Breast Cancer Alliance.
