Ghana to participate in World Geographical Quiz

Accra, Dec. 29, GNA – Ghana is to participate in a World Geography Quiz Competition to be held in the US in July, next year. A statement by Mr Paul Owooh, National organizing Secretary of the Ghana Geographical Association said the quiz is organized every two years for students of geography under age of 16.

It said Ghana’s selection was preceded by a national competition organized for senior secondary schools, which selected three contestants to participate in the world event.

Master Festus Brew Quansah and Master Joseph Addae-Kusi, the two from Mfanstsipim Senior Secondary School, Cape-Coast and Master Jonathan Kwofie from Government Secondary Technical School, Takoradi were to represent Ghana.

The statement said the programme aimed at promoting the interest of Ghanaian students in Geography.
