Ghana to host extra-ordinary ECOWAS Summit

Accra, July 30, GNA – ECOWAS heads of state would hold an extraordinary summit in Accra on Thursday to discuss the growing crisis in Liberia. A statement issued in Accra on Wednesday by Mr Kwabena Agyepong, Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesman, said several heads of state in the sub-region are expected to attend the one-day summit. The agenda would be the deployment of ECOWAS troops to Liberia and the search for a comprehensive and lasting settlement of the crisis. The statement said It said the Summit would begin at 1000 hours.
