Accra, Aug. 12, GNA – The management of Solid Rock Association (SRA), an Accra-based NGO dedicated to the development of art and culture is to organise an International Cultural Exchange and Exhibition in Accra from November 12 to 14 this year.

The Exhibition will be under the theme: “Cultural Diversity, the Only Way to Peace and Co-existence”, to improve the worldwide effort at using culture to bring about peace through collaborations.

In addition, it will create networks by reconnecting cultures globally so that positive strength is released in a focused manner to elevate all people.

A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr Kobina Arkaah, Public Relations Officer of the NGO, said the exhibition was to project the need to deepen African and other indigenous people’s culture all over the world, about the need to use culture to bring peace to the world.

It would shape the conversation about the significance of building indigenous music as well as reconnecting to the past musical rhythms and create a medium where different groups from Africa and Europe would exhibit their indigenous music and culture.

The statement said there would be an exhibition of local delicacies from participating countries and an opportunity to share strategies and tactics related to the development of Arts and Cultures worldwide.

It is expected to be attended by civil society groups, politicians, and students, foreign nationals in Ghana as well as chiefs and members of diplomatic missions.

The NGO was established in 2000 and registered in 2009, to transform local traditional music through art, and is affiliated to the Centre for National Culture and has over the years performed and exhibited in various national cultural events.
