Bibiani Gold Stars will open their Ghana Premier League (GPL) title defence at home to Bechem United, as the Ghana Football Association officially unveils the full fixture list for the 2025/26 season.
The Miners, who stunned the country last season by lifting their first-ever top-flight crown ahead of Nations FC, Asante Kotoko and Heart of Lions, will be eager to maintain their momentum in what promises to be a fiercely contested campaign.
The new season kicks off the weekend of September 12, 2025, and runs until May 23/24, 2026, carefully timed to conclude before the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which begins in June in North America.
Elsewhere on Match Day 1, Accra Hearts of Oak, looking to bounce back after an inconsistent 2024/25 campaign will host newly-promoted Hohoe United, while eternal rivals Asante Kotoko make a tricky trip to face Berekum Chelsea.
The first round of fixtures offers plenty for fans to look forward to. Former champions Medeama SC will face Young Apostles away, while FC Samartex travel to take on Vision FC. Premier League returnees Swedru All Blacks and Eleven Wonders also start away, against Nations FC and Basake Holy Stars, respectively.
Heart of Lions, who finished runners-up last season, begin their new journey at home against Dreams FC, while Karela United will welcome Aduana FC in their opener.
