Ghana mourns with the United State of America

President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday sent a message of condolence to the people of the United States of America over the loss of lives and injury sustained on Monday at the Boston Marathon.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Ministry of Information and signed by Mr Mahama Ayariga, Minister of Information and Media Relations and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.

The statement said: “President Mahama, on this sad occasion, on behalf of the Government and the people of Ghana, extends to the President of the United States and the families of those whose loved ones were either killed or injured, our heartfelt condolence and deepest sympathies”.

It said Ghana abhorred any act of terrorism and would stand with all nations of the world as they fought the scourge.

“We find it unconscionable for anyone to take the life of another. Accept His Excellency’s highest condolence,” the statement said.
