Ghana might experience drought this year – Prof. Otchere

The Former Executive Director of Centre for Remote–Sensing and Geographical Information System, Prof. Amamoo Otchere has predicted that the country is very likely to experience drought this year.

According to him, Monday’s downpour is not guarantee that the country will have enough water for use.

Speaking to Kasapa News, Prof. Amamoo Otchere said, a possible long period of drought might hit the country and will cause a lot of loss to farmers.

He emphasized the need for Ghanaians to harvest rain water to prevent future discomfort.

Prof. Amamoo Otchere indicated that after the drought the rain might start again and if the country does not manage its waste properly the floods might get out of hand.
