Ghana Makes Progress In Five Of Millennium Development Goals

Ghana is said to be making tremendous progress in five of the MDG’s as the country approaches its target year of 2015.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Technical Advisor at the National Development Planning Commission, Dr Mensa Bonsu said poverty reduction has been halved whilst substantial progress has been made under the universal primary education.

He said despite the success chalked up there are some challenges in environmental sustainability and maternal mortality.

Dr Bonsu said a bottom up approach has been adopted to get the marginalised groups on board in order to meet the set target.
