Ghana lacks strategic thinkers – NDC Guru

Ghana is blessed with highly intelligent people but is bereft of strategic thinkers, according to the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Joseph Ade Coker.

Ade Coker, speaking on UTV’s Adekye Nsroma morning show, bemoaned the way and manner proceeds from the oil find are being expended by leaders of the land and, therefore, called on Ghanaians to join in the debate to put government on the right footing.

He told host Tweneboah Koduah that the Mahama government should not misuse the oil money but rather invest it in profitable ventures that will inure to the benefit of all.

To him, government should ensure it uses the money it derives from the sale of oil in commercial quantities to construct proper roads, build institutions and also enrich the society.

“We must use the oil money to develop this country, to construct schools, Universities, roads, houses…and reduce urban poverty. We should open it up. We should open up the debate. We should have a consensus…

“We’ve got a lot of knowledgeable people in this country but not a lot of thinkers…We haven’t got thinkers. That’s our problem. We have a lot of knowledgeable people in Parliament, but what is going on?” He quizzed.
