Ghana, Journalism have lost a great talent – Kufuor

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has expressed shock about the death of Asempa FM’s Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong (KABA).

The Ekosii Sen political talk show host passed away on Saturday, 18 November 2017 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he had been rushed to, after a sudden illness.

Ex-president Kufuor in a statement issued Monday, 20 November described KABA as a “young promising talent whose life has been cut short at its prime.”

For him, the deceased journalist “brought balance to bear in his interviews and captured the attention of his audience with his incisive questions,” adding: “Nothing could have prepared us for such a sudden loss. I pray for strength and forbearance for his wife, child, family and close ones. Ghana has lost a great potential. Journalism has lost an even greater prospect”.

KABA got married to Class91.3FM’s Valentina Ofori-Afriyie just a year ago and the couple were blessed with a baby girl a few months before his death.
