Ghana is in crises – Bawumia

The 2012 presidential running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Friday said Ghana is in crises due to bad economic management of the country.

Dr Bawumia made this statement during the visit of Nana Akufo-Addo, 2012 presidential candidate of the NPP, to Koforidua, as part of his tour of the Eastern Region to solicit the votes of delegates of the Party in the region.

He said as far as he was concerned, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government is not competent enough to manage the economy of the state, and that, the NPP managed the economy better.

Dr Bawumia stressed that, though the government has more resources now than the NPP government had years ago, they still cannot make the lives of Ghanaians better.

He said Nana Akuffo-Addo has been marketed already and does not need to be re-branded “and that’s the more reason why the delegates must vote for him.”

“2016 is a better year for the NPP government to come to power and not 2020” he added.
