Ghana is determined to build on its relations with ROK

Accra, Dec. 6, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor said on Wednesday that Ghana was determined to build on its relations with South Korea, which has been lifted to a new height by his recent visit to that country.

Energy and construction, he said, were the critical sectors, where Ghana was eager to work with the Republic of Korea for their mutual benefit.

President Kufuor said this when Mr Lee Sang-Pal, the out-going Korean Ambassador, called on him at the Castle, Osu, to bid him farewell.

He is leaving at the end of his three-year duty tour of Ghana. President Kufuor congratulated Mr Lee for his distinguished service that has led to significant improvement of relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador said he was grateful for the wonderful support he enjoyed during his tenure and promised to continue to play the role of an advocate for Ghana.
