Ghana is closer to legalising homosexuality – Chief psychiatrist

The chief psychiatrist of Ghana Dr Kwasi Osei has observed that there is a greater possibility of Ghana legalising homosexuality.

The renowned medical doctor said his view is based on the pressure the western world is exerting on Africa to legalize what he termed as abnormal behavior.

Dr. Osei made the observation in an interview with Kwame Tutu, host of the breakfast show of Accra-based Rainbow Radio 87.5 fm.

He shared his views on an investigative findings by Joy Fm’s Manasseh Azuri which exposed the homosexual affair between a medical doctor, Dr. Ali Sulley Gabass and a 16-year-old SHS student.

Dr Kwasi Osei said Africa is at risk of accepting anything due to poverty and hunger, which has led to over-reliance of the continent on others for support.

Speaking further on the act, he said it is a mental abnormality that can be treated. He charged African leaders to think outside the box to find solutions to the continent’s problems. He disclosed that homosexuals are exposed to many dreadful diseases like HIV/AIDS.
