Ghana is “better” than Europe; don’t run abroad – Nunoo-Mensah tells the youth

Former National Security Advisor to the President, Joseph Nunoo-Mensah has said Ghana is a better place to live than Europe, and has, therefore, advised the youth to stop running away to foreign lands in search of non-existent opportunities.

“All of us must learn to build this country, especially the youth. You want to go abroad looking for what? You want to go to Italy? You want to go to Europe for what?”

“I have lived in Britain for 12 years; here is a better place and we have the potential to grow and grow and grow,” he said Saturday.

Nunoo-Mensah was addressing a durbar to crown the 2014 Amu (brown rice) Festival of the chiefs and people of the Avatime Traditional Area at Avatime Gbadzeme in the Volta Region.

In his view, Ghana would have developed than its current state had the country had good leaders.

“…The problem we have is that we don’t have leaders that can lead from the front. So the youth, I tell you today, the future is bright, but you got to work hard,” he advised.
