Ghana is 55th

The Transparency International 1998 Corruption Perceptions Index has been released by the University of Gottingen’s Internet Center for Corruption Research. The institute rates 85 countries by the degree of corruption as seen by Business people. Enough data (at least 3 surveys) is required on each nation to be listed hence the omission of some nations

Some of the key results are: The best (#1 = totally corruption-free) country was DENMARK The worst (#85 = most corrupt) country was CAMEROON

GHANA WAS RATED #55 [30th worst, if counted from bottom] (Meaning it is not part of the top 10 most corrupt countries as alleged previously; a step up but still uncomfortable).

NIGERIA WAS RATED #81 [5TH most corrupt]
