Ghana Independence celebrations in London

SARKODIE And TINNY will performance live in the UK for the 53rd Ghana Independence celebrations in London and Milton Keynes.

The acclaimed Ghanaian Event Management Company,Akwaaba UK, is happy to announce that Ghanaians in the UK will celebrate Ghana’s 53rd Independence anniversary in style with a massive musical show and cultural display featuring Hip life Stars “Sarkodie”, arguably Ghana’s number one artist performing his famous songs such “baby” ,and the ‘ladies man’ Sexy “Tinny” performing his colossal fair-trade TV advert hit song “Zingolo”, On Saturday 6th and 13th March 2010, at the very popular venue Stratford Rex in East London, Milton Keynes Ceaser and Streatham, from 7:00pm to 6:00am respectively.

At a press conference in London, Dennis Tawiah, the event coordinator for Akwaaba UK, noted that this year’s event will be a spectacular one as the house would be filled with famous UK Ghanaian artists namely, Tinchy Stryder, Donaeo, Lethal B and Chipmunk, performing as supporting artists. He reiterated that it will follow its precedents of presenting the best, irresistible and soul bashing Djs such as French kiss, Big K, Dj Invisible, Dj Billy, Dj Neptizzle & A- Team, Dj Melody, Dj Levi B2B Flex, Black Ash Lyrical and many more.

Akwaaba UK acknowledged that Sarkodie’s performance at Stratford Rex on the 6th March is proudly sponsored by Money Gram and Lebra whilst Tinny’s performances at Milton Keys on 6th March and Streatham on the 13th March are sponsored by Cadbury, Western Union Money Transfer, Ghana International Airline and MTN. Mr Tawiah expressed his sincere gratitude to the sponsors and assured them that the event would be as successful as the previous years, with its success measured by its attendance, security and performances.

The Team assured the audience that there would be full security for all the performances to protect the over 3000 people who would attend these events, They encouraged Ghanaians and all other nationals to celebrate the event by wearing traditional cloths as they do each year to portray our customs and traditions .
