The latest figures come after Bank of Ghana Governor Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama said the currency had made a significant recovery against major international currencies.
He also said Ghana’s external reserves had been strengthened, while economic activity had gathered pace across several sectors.
Dr Asiama said the improvement in economic performance was becoming more widely based. He attributed that progress to stronger services and agriculture, as well as a gradual recovery in industry.
“These developments have contributed to creating a more stable and predictable environment for businesses and investors,” he said during the launch of the Ghana Investment Promotion (GIPC) 2025 Annual Investment Report.
The Governor’s comments linked the cedi’s improved performance with broader developments in the economy, including the strengthening of reserves and renewed activity across key sectors.
