Ghana Breaks World LEGO Bricks Competition Record

Accra,(Greater Accra Region) 10, Oct. Ghana broke the world record in a LEGO bricks construction competition with a 550 metres long chain, extending the current record by 10 metres. The competition held at the National Theatre is part of the Images of Denmark Cultural Festival being held in Accra and Cape Coast. Poland held the record with 540 metres set early this year. LEGO bricks, a Danish product, are construction bricks which can be used to build all sorts of structures which a child or an adult dreams of or wishes to create. School children, families and individuals participated in the event which was educative and entertaining. Mr Christian J. Reindorf, Managing Director of CRA Limited, the local distributors of the LEGO company of Denmark, described the event as ” very successful”. ”We had a cross-section of the public participating in this event and the outcome was tremendous. ”We thank all those who came to help us beat the LEGO chain record,” he added.
