Ghana bleeding under old fashioned leaders – Rev Owusu-Frimpong

Reverend Richmond Owusu-Frimpong, Founder and Leader of Personality Development Movement (PDM) says Ghana is bleeding under old fashioned leaders who are short of ideas, and are only concerned about their bellies and how to enrich themselves.

“Our political landscape is filled with too much dishonesty, lies, corruption, nepotism, unreliability, propaganda and lack of fiscal discipline”

As a result, he has urged the Youth, Christians and Muslims in the country, to rise up and cause a revolution, not with guns and armour, but a revolution of their minds.

Rev Owusu-Frimpong made the remarks on Tuesday when he launched the PDM which will eventually lead to the formation of a new all-political party.

“PDM believes now is the time for a new political party with an all-inclusive membership, united with one heart, with the mind of God and love for the ordinary Ghanaian.”

“To snatch our dear nation from the hands of selfish, greedy, visionless politicians who themselves do not understand the word politics or who a politician is,” he said.

Rev Owusu-Frimpong indicated that making life easy for citizens, making life better for people and not creating, looting, sharing, insulting, stealing and mismanaging the economy were the core mandate of politicians with PDM seeking to execute such mandate.

“Nobody speaks for the poor, and it is unfortunate that some of those we look up to as seasoned journalists have also thrown their conscience to the wind, and have ceased to be the voice of the voiceless, whilst the silent majority are bleeding inwardly in despair,”

“After 23 years of NDC and NPP administration resulting in social stagnation, economic recession, selfishness, corruption, greed, mismanagement and a speedy decline of moral; Ghanaians are ready for a change, the yearning for a neutral political party is clear, a change of NDC and NPP or more of the same,” he said.

Rev Owusu-Frimpong, who is also the Head Pastor of the 21st Revival Ministry, observed that the development of the citizenry is the focus of PDM and when done properly, transformation of the Ghanaian economy will be achieved in less than a decade.

“PDM’s only reason is to win political power and offer the best ever administration in the history of our dear nation by bringing a programme of attitudinal change, which is the only thing lacking in our society,” he noted.
