Ghana Airways Resume Flights To Europe

Ghana Airways resumed its flights to Europe today starting with the London route. The flights were suspended for about a week after one of its creditors ? A. J. Walters obtained a court order in London, to seize a DC-10 aircraft and appoint a provisional liquidator for the airline. Ghana Airways owes A. J. Walters, which deals in aircraft parts about $4.7 million.

The two reached an agreement over the weekend and announced that flights to London, Rome and Dusseldorf will resume today. Passengers, who missed their flights to London because of the suspension of flights, left Accra this morning. The Public Relations Manager of Ghana Airways, Sam Bannerman Bruce told JOY FM that the next batch of passengers would be flown out over the weekend
