GHACEM donates cement to community

Kotokuom (Ash), Jan. 13, GNA- The GHACEM Foundation of the Ghana Cement Company Limited (GHACEM) has donated 100 bags of cement to Kotokuom near Nkawie in the Atwima District for the rehabilitation of schools in the town.

The donation, which forms part of the Foundation’s special allocation package, was in response to an appeal made to the company by the community for rehabilitation of schools.

Mr George Dawson-Amoah, Marketing Director of GHACEM, who made the presentation at Kotokuom at the weekend, said the gesture was the company’s contribution towards the improvement of school infrastructure.

He hoped it would enhance the rehabilitation work on the projects to facilitate teaching and learning.

Mr Bright Owusu Asare, Assemblyman for the area, who received the donation on behalf of the community, thanked the donors and pledged that the cement would be used for the projects.

In a related development, Mr Alhassan Issifu, a citizen of the town based in Tema, has also donated four million cedis to complement the town’s development.
