GETFund provides new vehicles for schools in Volta Region

Ho, March 28, GNA – Mr Joseph Amenowode, the Volta Regional Minister, on Monday presented 20 vehicles to the Ghana Education Service (GES) meant for some educational institutions in the region. They were the outcomes of requests made two years ago by the schools, Mr Amenowode said.

He said the presentation of the vehicles and other development projects in the education sector showed the 93commitment of this government towards education”.

“The fact that the GETFund has been in existence for 10 years with only 26 vehicles provided for schools in this region and the provision of 20 in just two years attests to this,” he added. The 11 buses and nine pick-ups are to facilitate students’ educational trips and enhance teaching and learning. Mr Gabriel Kploanyi, Volta Regional Education Director, received the vehicles on behalf of the beneficiary schools 28 March 11
