GES vehicle kills female student of All Nations University

A female Nigerian Student of the All Nations University College in Kofridua, the Eastern regional Capital, has been crashed to death by a vehicle belonging to the Ghana Education Service.

The deceased, identified as Miss Jubilee Chioma James, a Level 300 Biomedical Engineering student, painful death occurred Friday while crossing the Akwadum to Suhum road to lectures at the New Site Campus of the University when the speeding GES vehicle crashed her killing her on the spot.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the St Josephs Hospital Morgue.

Meanwhile, Management of All Nations University has subsequently informed the family of the deceased in Orlu -Nigeria.

The family are expected in Ghana this weekend for the necessary arrangement to be made.

The incident has thrown the entire Students and staff into mourning .The deceased has been described by the student body as “intelligent, friendly and adorable.”

Meanwhile, the Effiduase District Police Command has commenced investigations into the matter.

The late Miss Jubilee Chioma, gained admission into All Nations University in August 2013 and was expected to complete in November 2017.

This is not the first time, the university has been hit by such a tragic death. Eleven months ago, level 100 Oil and Gas Student was found dead at the Ebenezer Hostel at the new site.

He was alleged to have fallen from the fourth floor of the building but the school authorities debunked that claim,the cause of his death has since not been made public after police investigation.

Before that tragic incident, Benedicta Nana Esi Adu, a 22-year-old level 100 Business Administration student of the college had also died after falling from top floor of a classroom block at the main campus of the University College during a christian fellowship.
