GES inaugurates new offices at Kinbu

Dr Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, Accra Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), has inaugurated a new office complex for the Ghana Education Service Directorate at Kinbu in Accra.

The GH¢736 000.00 office includes a staff common room and 10 places of convenience.

Dr Vanderpuije said the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) will continue to work to provide the needed educational infrastructure to create the right environment for effective teaching and learning.

He said the AMA appreciates the hard work, dedication and commitment of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the school and urged them to continue to build a good relationship with the teachers and administrators.

Dr Vanderpuije said the old dilapidated school building which got burnt in 2010 would be demolished to pave way for something that would befit the city of Accra.

He said six new schools would also be inaugurated soon to enhance quality education in Accra.

Mr Kweku Mensah, Acting Human Resource Director of the GES, said the provision and improvement of educational infrastructure was good to promoting education.
