Today, the Ghana Education Service in the Western North Region called for educational road ethics and training for it’s driving in the various Municipalities and Districts ahead of the upcoming WASSCE.
The meeting was held at Sefwi Wiawso Senior High School Assembly Hall. During the meeting, the National Association Of GES Drivers branch in the Western North Region call upon the Ghana Road Safety Authority to educate them on the ethics on the because they know better.
During the meeting, were being educate on the causes and prevention of the road traffic crashes which factor Human Errors, such as distracted driving, Over Speeding and Speeding, Tailgating, Reckless Driving, Overloading, Wrong Way Driving or Contraflow Driving, Wrongful Overtaking and Emotional Intelligent.
Again they were educate on Mechanical Errors such as Break Failure, Tire Bust, Impaired Vision/ Windscreen Cracks and Bad Road Conditions and Weather Conditions.
He also spoke about the defensive driving which also constitute a lot.
According to the Western North Regional Chairman of National Association Of GES Drivers Mr. Collins Owusu (Odenke), looking at rate of road accident which is happening in Ghana, GES drivers are exempted and they always call their members to have new skills in their driving to enhance the rate of road accident.
