The items, a set each of jerseys, football boots and hoses, 10 footballs as well as apparel for trainers, were presented in fulfillment of an earlier request to him by the school’s authorities and the leadership of the community.

Mr. Nyantakyi stressed the need for school children to be given the opportunity to develop their talents through exposure to every available sporting discipline.

He appealed to the pupils to learn hard to justify the huge governmental and parental investments being made in them.

Mr. Amadie Mohammed, the Assemblyman for the area, said the community would make sure all children of school-going age are in school.

He appealed to Yawbofokrom citizens home and abroad to provide other basic educational needs to make the only primary school in the community self-sufficient and more attractive to children in its catchment area.

Mr. Abdulai Huseini, the Headteacher of the school, expressed appreciation for the donation.
