German Ambassador interacts with students on exchange programme

Accrta, June 4, GNA – Dr Marius Haas, German Ambassador in Ghana has interacted with pupils from Achimota Senior High School (ASHS) and German Swiss International School (GSIS) under an exchange programme at his residence.

A statement issued by the embassy in Accra on Friday said the day’s education, play and interaction, was to bring together pupils from GSIS, a bilingual German and English school, supported by the German and Swiss Government, with ASHS.

It said ASHS was part of a worldwide network of “German Partner Schools” which received funding from Germany to support German language training, a German Pavilion, funded by German Government built at ASHS in

2009. “I hope this event would lead to increased interaction between students from different countries and horizons to foster mutual understanding, learning and cooperation between Germany, Switzerland and Ghana. There would surely be a follow up, “Dr Haas stressed. Teachers from both schools including GSIS Headmaster Stefano Caflis ch and Mrs Rebecca Baiden, Patron of German Club at ASHS participated.
