Georgina Wood’s NDC claims baseless – Ackumey

A member of the NDC Legal team Chris Ackumey has questioned the motive behind the suggestion by immediate past Chief Justice that some appointees of the late President Mills hatched a plot to force her out of office.

Georgina Wood said she came under pressure from the Mills appointees to resign over allegations of bias in the discharge of her duties.

According to her, it took a prophesy from a church member to stop her from quitting her job.

But Lawyer Chris Ackumey has told Starr News the claims are baseless and have the tendency of causing disaffection for the NDC.

“I’m particularly surprised why she mentioned the NDC and I hope she is not doing that to court disaffection for the NDC and its not only the NDC that wanted her out.

“If you remember the Ga Adangbe youth also wanted to take her out, they put pressure on President Mills for her to be taken out”.
