General insecurity in Hohoe

There’s general insecurity in Hohoe after Monday’s communal violence between the indigenes of the town and the Muslim community that resulted in deaths.

Most shops have remained closed with only the major banks and other financial institutions staying opened for business.

The GNA noticed that the transport industry has resumed their usual operations after a temporary halt.

Shop owners and scavengers were seen busy sorting out the debris from the streets whiles the Military cum Police patrols have been beefed up to reinforce the imposition of a dawn-to-dusk curfew.

Meanwhile, schools remained closed and there is on activity at the main market.**
