GBPA grieves with Mrs. Mills and entire NDC

The Ghana Book Publishers Association (GBPA) on Friday expressed its sincere condolence to the former first lady, Mrs. Naadu Mills at the demise of Professor John Evans Atta Mills on Tuesday.

In a statement signed by Mr. Asare Konadu Yamoah, President of GBPA and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, the Association also expressed its condolence to the entire family and the ruling National Democratic Congress.

“We pray that the good Lord will grant the entire nation the strength to bear this loss. We are indeed comforted by the fact that he was an exemplary leader and a humble person, who served his people well and left a legacy,” it said.

The statement added that “We the GBPA would forever have fond memories of Prof. and his support for the Publishing Industry. May the good Lord receive him in His bosom until we meet again.”

The Association also sent a congratulatory message to President John Dramani Mahama on his assumption as President of the Republic of Ghana.

“We wish that he will seek God’s guidance in running the affairs of the country,” it added.**
