GATE holds annual conference at Takoradi

Koforidua, Aug. 30, GNA- The Eighth Annual Delegates Conference of the Ghana Association of Teachers of English (GATE) is to be held at Takoradi in September.

A press release issued by GATE’s Secretariat at Koforidua on Tuesday said lectures and workshops have been lined up at the Conference.

About 300 delegates are expected to attend the four-day Conference would be under the theme: “Raising Educational Standards in Ghana through a strong GATE-the way to the heart of the problem.”

The release said the association had over the last 10 years contributed immensely to improve on the standard of English in schools and colleges in the country.
