Gari producers given training in basic management

Nyame-Bekyere (W/R), March 8, GNA – The Mpohor Wassa East, District Assembly has presented a gari processing machine worth GH¢1,800 to gari producers in the district at Nyame-Bekyere, The donation was made after they were taken through a week-long management training workshop. They were taken through training in basic management of their businesses and income, particularly on the difference between profit and capital in order not to waste their money on less profitable things. Presenting the machine, Mr Anthony Bassaw, District Chief Executive, said the move was to reduce poverty in the district and that poverty could only be reduced when the people were encouraged, assisted and given a sense of direction in their day to day activities. The gari producers expressed their appreciation to the assembly and pledged to use the knowledge acquired from the workshop to improve their businesses. 8 March 11
