Gangsters vandalise schools

Begoro (E/R), July 20, GNA – A gang of suspected “wee” smokers besieged and vandalised the Begoro Presbyterian ‘B’ and ‘C’ schools on Monday night, destroying teaching and learning materials worth millions of cedis.

The gangsters also defecated in the classrooms and urinated on the furniture and left behind wrappers of “wee”.

Briefing the GNA at Begoro on Tuesday the head teacher of the schools, Mr Daniel Ahunu, said the gangsters forced the windows open and destroyed school registers, syllabuses, boxes of chalk and pupils exercise books.

He said the incident was affecting teaching and learning and appealed to the police and the District Directorate of Education to take measures to ensure the security of the schools.
