Traders who ply the Tamale-Techiman road met with such tragedy when many of them had to exchange their goods and monies with their dear lives.

In an interview with the deputy Superintendent of Police at Techiman, Mr. Wiredu Nkansah, he said it was around 3:30pm that their attention was drawn to the deal going on in the area.

He said the victims of the robbery and the accostation are mainly from Tamale and Nakpanburi in the Northern Region.

He stated that the criminals are increasing in the Kintampo district adding that there have been serious reported cases of theft in the district which is also threatening tourists who go to visit the centres in the district.

He said strategies are in the pipeline to control the situation and the police would do everything in their power to arrest the criminals who have been threatening the people in the area.
