Galvanising machine crashes man to death at Assin Fosu

The Assin Fosu township has been thrown into a state of mourning following the death of a known engineer in the town.

The 59-year old man Anthony Alima lost his life at the Assin Fosu Bamboo Factory when a galvanizing machine he was operating exploded crashing him to death in the process.

The machine is said to have developed a fault in the cause of its operation forcing the engineer to move in to repair it but the lid of the galvanising machine went off hitting him in the process.

The lid then rolled on to fall on a sensitive portion of the machine resulting in the explosion which nearly killed another worker of the factory who is now on admission at the Francis Xavier Hospital.

Ultimate News’ Kwaku Baah-Acheamfour reported that the deceased had his intestines gushed out in the process due to the severity of the accident with his body being deposited at the Francis Xavier Hospital morgue at Assin Fosu for autopsy.
