GAF to Conduct 2025 Recruitment Exercise Nationwide, Warns Against Fraudulent Links

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced that its 2025 enlistment and recruitment exercise will take place across all 16 regional capitals to give qualified applicants equal opportunity to apply.

In a statement dated Monday, September 29, 2025, and signed by Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director General of Public Relations, GAF explained that the nationwide approach is intended to ensure fairness and accessibility.

The release cautioned the public against fraudulent recruitment links currently circulating on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms. It stressed that such messages are fake and should be disregarded, noting that no officer of the Armed Forces or its High Command has the mandate to issue recruitment invitations.

According to the statement, official announcements on the exercise will be published exclusively on GAF’s websites — gafonline.mil.gh and gafrecruitment.mil.gh — as well as in state-owned newspapers such as the Daily Graphic and the Ghanaian Times.

GAF further appealed to the public to support efforts aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the recruitment process, emphasising that transparency remains central to the annual exercise.

The recruitment, considered one of the most competitive entry avenues into the military, attracts thousands of young Ghanaians each year. Officials are urging prospective applicants to rely only on verified platforms to avoid falling victim to scams.
