Accra, April 15, GNA- The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and their United States counterparts have jointly agreed to put up an Exercise Reception facility at the Accra Air Force Basen in Accra.
The facility would provide a faster and more convenient assembly and dispersal area for use by the GAF’s personnel, during rotations of peacekeeping forces and for joint sub-regional activities.
A statement issued in Accra on Thursday, and signed by the Director, Public Relations of the GAF, Col. Emmanuel Nibo, said the joint partnership was made possible by the GAF providing land, utilities and security, while the US forces would provide equipment and resources for installation.
The statement said the construction of the Centre is a manifestation of the positive bond of cooperation, which existed between the GAF and their American counterparts.
