GAF begins training exercise at Achiase

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) on Monday said it would begin a four-day tri-service field training exercise dubbed Ex Tiger’s Path 2013 in the Akim Achiase area from July 30 to August 2.

A statement signed by Mr E. Assan, Director Public Relations, said the exercise forms part of training activities for 2013/2014 and it will involve sub-units drawn from the Army, Navy and Air Force.

It said the exercise is aimed at testing a cross-section of personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces in jungle craft and skills in counter insurgency setting.

There would be a mass movement of personnel of the GAF within the general area of Akim Achiase, Akim Oda and Birim South respectively, the statement added.
