Gadagme Council commends CJA

Accra, May 18, GNA – Ga Mashie and the Ga State on Thursday commended the Committee for Joint Action (CJA) for suspending their street demonstration scheduled for last Tuesday to respect the ban on drumming and noisemaking.

A statement signed by Numo Ogbamey III, President of the Gadangme Wulomei Council said: “We, as the custodian of the Ga custom and tradition, are extremely appreciative of the fact that the CJA decided to postpone the Accra demonstration because of their respect for our customary ban.”

It said the CJA’s example would foster close relations with the people to maintain peace and unity and advised other organizations operating in the traditional area to copy the example to make observance of their traditional rights effective.
